Girl Who Colours is Sussex-based Artist & Illustrator Hannah Carey.
Studying at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design and London College of Fashion in the early noughties, working as a professional Make Up Artist and Colour Specialist as well as being a passionate home renovator, Hannah has been involved in colouring paper, faces, hair, walls, fabric and canvas for over 20 years.
A dedicated follower of fashion; Hannah creates fluid and evocative illustrations encapsulating everyday life with a touch of whimsical chic. She captures the energy, the mood and little moments of magic in everyday life in her unique hand illustrated work.
Whether using ink, watercolour, mixed-media or simply pencil, Hannah’s unique and unusual approach embraces an ever-evolving style. By ensuring all creations are limited-edition, there is a charm to offering affordable and accessible art, whilst avoiding the emptiness of big-volume production and wasteful excess.
